The Community Committee 

 

Who are we and what do we do? We are a small team of parents and staff that meet every third Monday of the month for an evening meeting.

Our official role is

  • To fundraise additional funds to meet the needs of the RBS students, enhance the school environment and community as a whole
  • Brainstorm in collaboration with the Board of Trustees the major priorities  to be fundraised for at the end of the previous year
  • Establish a fundraising plan at the beginning of a year in collaboration with the Board of Trustees to ensure school wide strategic goals are aligned to proposed fundraising events
  • To be an important part of the larger 10 year property plan and school strategic plans to contribute towards their successful implementation. To contribute to creatong a wider sense of community spirit. 
  • We are a sub-committee of the Board of Trustees 
Are you interested? As well as our role to support the school, we as a group get a lot more from this.  It is great getting to know a new group of people where otherwise our paths may not have crossed.  We have fun, it is rewarding and most of all stimulating.

How can you help?  Come along to our meetings.  7pm on the second Monday of each month in the school staffroom.
