 Volunteer to make a difference at Red Beach School!
What is Give Me 5?
The aim is to help your family take an active part in the school community by nominating areas where you can volunteer your time and/or skills. Many tasks can be done from home or outside work hours. We encourage you to register for Give me 5 and join our group of parent volunteers who help out in a variety of ways to make a difference at Red Beach School.
The Gala is an event where we need lots of parent helpers. Last year’s parent participation was amazing. Please consider volunteering to help out at this major fundraiser.
To register you need to fill out the volunteer sign up form (PTO) OR go online to www.giveme5.school.nz. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up for 2010.
How much time is involved?
You can choose the level of involvement you want and the types of activities you are interested in. Occasionally emails will be sent out to our give me 5 volunteers requesting help with one off tasks. Recent requests have included; helping cover library books and mend rugby jerseys. So you never know how your skills may come in handy!
Why do we need your help?
As you will see when registering, we need volunteers in a variety of areas. The idea of give me 5 is to spread the load and ensure everyone contributes a little. In doing so you make it easier to run events, contribute towards building a strong school community and demonstrate to your kids that you care about their school and education.
The RBS Community Committee are currently fundraising for a new junior playground. By joining with us in volunteering at events we will be able to make this goal a reality. We have had the support of many wonderful people from the Red Beach Community over the years and look forward to your participation.
Please know that your time and commitment to the school is invaluable and much appreciated.
